Throughout your truck driving career, there will be goals that you strive to achieve. For many, the biggest goal is to reach 1 million miles without incident or accident. Some drivers make goals of hauling as many different types of freight as possible. Other drivers look forward to the day when they can say they traveled to every state in the lower 48 with freight loads. One truck driver has surpassed those million safe miles driven and has achieved another lofty goal. A Werner Enterprises truck driver was recently honored with being on the Florida Road Team via the Florida Trucking Association.
Florida Road Team
The Florida Road Team is a group of elite truck drivers chosen to represent the Florida Trucking Association. These drivers are chosen based on their ability to exceed expectations while behind the wheel. They are highly knowledgeable about the industry and have a pristine driving record. In addition, these truck drivers are able to articulate themselves in a professional manner, which is vital since Florida Road Team drivers regularly speak on behalf of truck drivers and the Florida Trucking Association.
Road Team Driver Expectations
As a Florida Road Team driver, you are expected to keep up with the latest facts about the industry, in addition to the best safe driving tips. Your responsibility is to share this information with audiences at civic groups, schools, and community events. You are readily available to answer questions about trucking jobs, and you can prove your skills as a leader behind the wheel when over the road. Ultimately, it is your duty to set a fine example as a representative of Florida truck drivers.
